 Local Real Estate Investors to Learn about Mortgage Fraud

 and White Collar Crime from the FBI



The Memphis Investors Group (MIG) is proud to host Kimberly Moore, FBI Special Agent for White Collar Crime as their guest speaker at their next meeting on Thursday, November 13, 2008 at 7 pm.  Ms. Moore will be discussing the agency’s recent efforts to fight mortgage fraud in our community.

 

 

 

“There has been a lot of crazy things going on in the real estate world in the past few years, some of it was not quite above board” says MIG President, Gene Taylor.  “We want to make sure our members know what is and is not legal,” continuted Taylor.

 

MIG’s regular meetings take place in the Great Hall of the Germantown Center, which is located right off of Germantown Parkway just north of Farmington Boulevard.  The address is 1801 Exeter Road.  The main meeting starts at 7 p.m.  Admission is free for first-time visitors and to members.  Repeat visitors pay only $20.

 

In addition to the above panel discussion, several early bird sessions will start at 6 p.m.  Early bird topics include: Networking 101, Getting Started Right in Real Estate, and Who is and Who Isn’t Making Loans to Real Estate Investors.  Mr. Arnold Dormer, a local investor with over 30 years of experience will lead the “Getting Started Right in Real Estate” session.   Joanne Nichols and Bill Studor will be conducting the Real Estate Lending session based upon a recently conducted survey of various local lending institutions.
